When the reporter continued on, saying that the bill would “deregulate silencers and undermine concealed carry laws,” Pelosi muttered to herself, “yeah.”
Again, she continued to stare blankly into space.
She then stumbled over her own words, saying, “Well, in addition to that, it’s the silencers, it’s the, uh, conceal and carry, and it’s also, uh, uh… ” She then sat there for several bizarre moments, before barking out, “pier— uh, um, armor-piercing bullets.” Watch the video for yourself, here:

What was going on with Pelosi, who does a lot of talking as part of her regular job? Nobody seems to know for sure, but one theory that is making the rounds is that Pelosi’s discomfort stems from the knowledge that the National Rifle Association has a higher approval rating than Congress.
According to NBC, in 2016 the NRA had a 42 percent approval rating. In stark contrast to this are the results of an Economist poll, which show that Congress’s job approval rating, on the other hand, is at a pitiful 8 percent, with Pelosi’s approval rating is just 26 percent.
This was not the first report of Pelosi having some kind of a breakdown, either. Back in spring of this year, while speaking to Families US, Pelosi seemed very confused and made unusual statements, such as when she called Martin Luther King, Jr. “Martin Luther Sing.” Here is a video of that incident:
